Yesterday I had a great time visiting two of my favorite stores: Bob’s Red Mill and Savory Spice Shop. Both stores have pretty much everything I need that I cannot grow or pick up at my local farmer’s market or produce store. I totally use Safeway too because it is convenient. I like convenient.
I decided to try Bob’s Chai Protein Powder with Chia. I grabbed a couple scoops from the bulk bin. A serving is 1/3 cup (45g) and I chose to blend it with a frozen banana, 4 ice cubes, 8 ounces of water and a splash of unsweetened almond milk. I’m used to stevia as a sweetener, as is used in my Shakeology, and Bob’s uses monk fruit extract. This blend was a little sweet for me but the chai flavor was outstanding! Tomorrow I shall add a half scoop to my vegan chocolate Shakeology and I anticipate supreme awesomeness. Bob’s Red Mill Chai Protein Powder is Vegan and Gluten Free. The real reason for today’s post though is about the different nutritional plans and foodie lifestyles there are out there. It seems a new diet pops up every month! On Monday I began a new workout program launched by Team Beachbody called County Heat! I wouldn’t call it a linedancing workout. But I would say that it is a workout program based on many country dance moves. The music is great!
If you choose a beachbody workout program much of the work is already done for you when it comes to nutritional plans. Each program helps you determine your caloric needs and a portion control plan for the duration of the program.
